Customers who receive deliveries of 400 gallons or more of propane a year and have all previous deliveries paid in full are eliglible for the Budget Billing program. Customers who would like to take advantage of a locked in price but do not meet the minimum gallon requirement can still elect to do a prepay contract.
Automatic withdrawal from a checking account is required for Budget Billing. This allows for worry-free monthly payments, avoids the uncertainty of the mail, and the change of credit/debit card information should it expire or is compromised.
Budget Billing customers will receive a monthly statement displaying all of their payments and deliveries. Each statement will have a running balance to let you know how your payments and deliveries measure out. Customers can also take advantage of signing up for an online myFS Solution Center Account. Monthly statements, deliveries, and payments can all be viewed on a browser or on a convenient app. Learn more here!
Budget Billing contracts are sent out June 1st. Customers interested in applying for the program have until July 31st to contact us. Payments are withdrawn monthly, starting in June (or July) and ending in April. Come May, all Budget Billing balances are due and will be automatically withdrawn May 25th. If an account has a credit balance May 25th, the customer can request a credit refund or roll the credit balance over to the new Budget Billing cycle, which will start in June. Accounts that are enrolled in Budget Billing will automatically renew next June and will be notified of their new monthly payment amount at that time.
Every June, a new Budget Billing contract will be sent out detailing the pricing and monthly payment for the upcoming Budget Billing cycle. Customers signed up for Budget Billing will receive a Summer Fill, which will be at the current summer fill price. Summer Fill is generally when propane is a it's lowest rate, therefore, we want all customers to be able to take advantage of this lower cost. After Summer Fill, the locked in Budget Billing contract price will take effect September 1st through May 31st. Regardless of how propane prices move throughout the heating season, customers can take comfort knowing exactly how much their propane expense will be.
Monthly payments will change for each Budget Billing year cycle. Monthly payments are figured by taking the average gallons of your propane usage from the past 2 years, multiplying it by the locked in price for the Budget Billing cycle, then dividing it out by 11. This payment amount will change each year due to propane usage and price change.
All Budget Billing customers will be placed on our scheduled delivery route, which will take place when your tank reaches 20-25%. This allows us to effieciently manage routes, keep operating costs at a minimum, and provided worry-free service to our customers. If scheduled delivery is not for you, you can still call in to order, however, you will not be eligible to participate in our Budget Billing Program.
The Prepay Contract is in effect October 1st through March 31st. Gallons delivered within this period will be priced at the locked in contract price, until the contracted gallons are exhausted. If more propane is needed and the contracted gallons have already been delivered, the delivery will be at the current market price at that time.
Yes, we encourage all of our customers to take advantage of Summer Fill. Summer is when propane is generally at it's lowest price and that is the best time to have your tank filled and ready for the upcoming heating season.
Prepay Contracts require full payment upon the return of the contract. However, customers can send in payments to be put towards the total contract amount before the contract is due back. Contracts can be for however many gallons you would like to contract.
If the winter is mild and you have gallons left over after March 31st, you can request a refund for the remaining credit or you can leave it on your account to be used for future deliveries or contract. You will receive a monthly statement displaying the amount of gallons and money remaining on your Prepay Contract.
All Prepay Contract customers will be placed on our scheduled delivery route, which will take place when your tank reaches 20-25%. This allows us to effieciently manage routes, keep operating costs at a minimum, and provided worry-free service to our customers. If scheduled delivery is not for you, you can still call in to order, however, you will not be eligible to lock in a price for the heating season.
